Robert Cherun

Global Chief Executive Officer

Rob leads Stealth’s global strategy, finance, technology, talent management, and operations. Under his leadership, the company has grown to become the industry leader in remote monitoring services. Rob has been profiled in numerous publications such as Forbes, Bloomberg, BNN, Reuters, The Globe and Mail, Canadian Security, and Profit.

Prior to Stealth, Rob worked in strategy and business management at Morgan Stanley in New York. There he led a team of professionals in a successful turnaround effort in the Global Wealth Management Division, with a specific focus on market planning, compensation, client experience, talent management, cost-cutting, and real-estate. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Toronto, where he served Canadian and international clients in financial services, retail, payments, and technology.

Rob has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is currently Stanford GSB’s Toronto Chapter President. He also received an Honors Business Administration (HBA) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, where he was an Ivey Scholar.

Erik Mikkelsen

Global President & Chief Revenue Officer

Erik manages sales, marketing, business development, partnerships and acquisitions. Prior to joining the company, Erik gained professional business experience in private equity, investment banking, and start-ups.

Throughout his career, Erik has worked on over $30 billion of executed transactions, ranging in size from under a million dollars to several billion. He was previously in the acquisitions group at Regent Properties, a real estate private equity firm in Los Angeles. Prior to Regent, he was an investment banker in the Leveraged Finance Group at Barclays Capital in New York.

Before moving to New York, Erik co-led the Business Development department of Ink Media, a new media development company he co-founded. While there, he was responsible for attaining over 50 advertising clients and growing the online membership base by leveraging a team of over 100 volunteers whom he recruited and managed.

Erik graduated with Distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, where he received his Honors Business Administration (HBA). In 2014, Erik was the co-recipient of the Ivey Emerging Leaders Award for Entrepreneurship. He has advised for and invested in several start-ups and is an active community volunteer. In 2013 Erik co-founded CAMH Engage, a group of professionals focused on strategy and fundraising initiatives in support of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation. Erik was born in London, England and grew up in Western Canada where he was an ice hockey and lacrosse player.

Sidney Sommer

Founder/Managing Director

In 2003, Sidney founded UCIT Online as an innovative idea that has since developed into the largest and most experienced security video monitoring company in Canada. With over a decade of experience in the security/surveillance industry, he began his career working for Vidair AG, a German aerospace company specializing in onboard video surveillance systems. While working at Vidair, Sidney successfully launched the North American Sales and Marketing operations in Toronto, Canada (1999) as well as the Sales and Technical Support Centre in San Antonio, Texas (2001).

Sidney attended Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec where he received a BA in Criminology. He is originally from Basel, Switzerland and grew up in Toronto, Ontario.

David Charney

Chief Operating Officer

David manages Stealth’s day-to-day operations. Since joining the company, he has helped it grow into North America’s leader in live remote video surveillance, servicing large real estate companies and anyone with properties worth protecting. He is responsible for installation, service and monitoring globally across 14 offices in 3 countries.

Prior to Stealth Monitoring, David spent five years at AmerisourceBergen, a Fortune 25 healthcare distribution company, where he built large data systems for the C-suite. He followed that with five years of business intelligence consulting for Hitachi, helping to manage areas of their National Performance Management team.

David took MBA classes at Harvard when he was 17. He received a BS in Finance from Indiana University and has a master certificate from SMU in Business Intelligence.

David has been asked to speak at many security-related or customer focused industry events. For more than a decade, he has spoken at college campuses on how to get ahead, by sharing advice about the top 10 things he wished someone had told him when he was in business school.

David Del Giudice

Chief Information Officer

David and his team guide Stealth’s product and technology portfolio to differentiate our services through market innovation.

Prior to joining Stealth, David was the Global Vice President of Enterprise Technology at Scotiabank, a large global bank. His team’s accountabilities included providing proactive and next-generation enterprise solutions that enhanced corporate effectiveness and employee experience through innovative technologies.

Before Scotiabank, David held several technology leadership roles, including as the Global Head of Enterprise Architecture at AstraZeneca. As the Information Technology Executive, he was accountable for pulling together the enterprise architecture and corporate capability model across all global businesses and technology domains. Additionally, David has held leadership positions at boutique consulting firms, as well as with Dell and General Electric.

David is a member of the board of directors for the CIO Association of Canada and an advisory board member for Blockchain. He is the founder of IASA Canada, a national chapter of the world’s largest professional body-certifying IT and Enterprise Architects, and executive advisory board member for the Enterprise Mobility Network and CAMSS Canada.

Robert Henderson

Chief Financial Officer

Rob manages Stealth’s financial activities. Since joining in 2011, Rob has been responsible for managing the company’s banking relationship, overseeing the annual budget process and financial reporting to investors.

Prior to joining the company, Rob worked at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLP in Toronto where he worked in their Technology & Media client audit practice. Prior to that, Rob worked at CityWide Software in London, ON where he was responsible for new business development in Central & Western Canada.

Rob has his Chartered Accountant designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. He attended the University of Western Ontario where he received his BA in Management & Organizational Studies. He grew up in Toronto, Ontario and enjoys soccer, golf, squash & water skiing.

Colin Bodbyl

Chief Technology Officer

Colin manages the company’s technology architecture. Since joining in 2015, Colin has been responsible for reducing Capex, implementing UCIT’s ERP system, and developing a scalable technology strategy through the consolidation of different platforms.

Prior to joining the company, Colin owned and operated Zeecure Inc., a product consulting firm specializing in video surveillance products and was a partner at Sonitrol of South Central Ontario where he oversaw technology and operations.

Colin studied at the University of Toronto. He is a sought-after industry expert, a member of the UL Standards Technical Panel 2802, and a regular contributor to multiple trade publications. Colin grew up in South Africa and enjoys fishing, golf, and spending time with his family.

Norm Charney

Founder and Managing Director

Norm formed Stealth Monitoring in 2006 as a business that installs, services and monitors security cameras for commercial properties. Along with his sons, David and Rick, he developed proven processes and proprietary applications focusing on live surveillance and monitoring in real time.

Norm is a seasoned entrepreneur who has used common-sense business practices, along with world-class integrity and service, to grow a vision into several scalable, profitable businesses. Among his successes are Vision Equity, a Dallas-based equity firm; Ascendant Solutions, a service provider of telemarketing and fulfilment logistics services for e-commerce and direct marketing companies, including $500 million of Sears outsourced catalog business, which he took public in 1999; and Athletic Supply of Dallas, which grew to become the largest licensed direct marketing sports company in the U.S. and had the exclusive licenses for the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB Catalogs. Sports Illustrated published an article naming Norm Charney as one of the innovators of the licensed sports industry.

Norm earned a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University in Montreal, a Chartered Accounting Degree from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and qualified as a Texas CPA in 1979.

Hugh Wong

Executive VP of Special Projects

Hugh is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations. He also plays a leading role in new business development and sales. Hugh has been instrumental in the company’s recent expansion, during which time the work force has grown exponentially. In addition, under his leadership, UCIT was recognized in both 2010 and 2011 as the 19th fastest growing company in Canada by Profit 100 magazine.

Hugh’s current position comes after 21 years of experience in law enforcement with the Toronto Police Service. Throughout his policing career, He managed several teams of officers in different departments focused on crime reduction, best business practices and risk management.

Hugh graduated from the Ontario Police College in the top quarter of his class and earned multiple awards and certifications during his time in the law enforcement field. In 2005, he was awarded the Minister of Justice National Youth Justice Policing Award for Canada by the Department of Justice in collaboration with the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, for his role in developing a community-based, youth-focused restorative justice program.

Rick Charney

Managing Director

Rick has been responsible for growing revenue and profit since 2008 when the company employed 15 loyal members. Over the last decade, Rick has helped Stealth grow to over 450 employees. Understanding business fundamentals while focused on sales, marketing, and customer service has helped Rick remain a top producer. Rick has continued to build long-term relationships internally and externally, while educating the commercial real estate marketplace about the latest security technologies.

Rick is a licensed Texas real estate broker, receiving formal training from 2005-2008 at Marcus & Millichap, one of the leading investment sales companies in the country. Rick completed economics classes at Harvard University in 2001. He graduated with a double major in Finance-Real Estate and Legal Studies from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in 2006. Minoring in telecommunications and participating in college athletics (hockey) for two seasons has motivated Rick to also find a part-time job as a statistician for the National Hockey League.

Rick epitomizes the “work hard, play hard” motto and constantly performs in his career while balancing his top priorities; specifically, his wife and twin boys.

Mike Kaucher

Vice President of Operations – U.S.

Mike is responsible for overall day-to-day operational performance, providing both leadership and direct strategic support to cross-functional departments, through customer service, strategic planning, technical support, vendor service relationships, project management, installation services, and sales guidance.

Prior to Stealth, Mike was VP of Finance Programs for AAFES where he supported the design, enhancement, implementation, and operations of the organization’s financial systems. He held subsequent positions at The Exchange. There he managed concession telecommunications retail services offering Internet, TV, telephone, and cellular service generating annual net income of over $23M at Army and Air Force Installations throughout the United States, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, University College Europe.

Ali Karmali

VP of Operations – Canada

Ali is responsible for operations across Stealth’s Mobile and Advanced Monitoring Solutions verticals including project installation, monitoring, safety, quality assurance, cost, reliability, engineering, purchasing, materials planning and inventory management. He is recognized for transforming global operations systems, profitability and productivity, and demonstrates innovative thinking in project management, process improvement, business process consulting and operations reengineering.

Prior to joining the company, Ali enjoyed a 12-year career at Honeywell where he successfully led the Advanced Solutions business in the Middle East and the Americas. His achievements included development of real-time performance dashboards for production industries, process yield Improvements resulting in increased customer revenue and manufacturing margin improvement through operational efficiency.

Ali earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University and an Executive Master of Business Administration in Strategy and Finance from both York and Northwestern Universities.

Chris O'Rourke

VP Sales & Business Development

As Vice President of Sales and Business Development, Chris is responsible for leading Stealth’s field sales organization and business development.

Chris joined the company in 2012 and has played a critical role in recruiting, training, leading, and developing the sales organization. Chris has also led the development and optimization of the combined company’s sales processes, tools, CRM, and pricing strategy. Prior to joining Stealth, Chris was a VP of Sales for a large service business. Chris has also held several senior sales roles in companies like Canon and Tyco Healthcare.

Chris has a BBA in Business Administration from Brock University. He grew up just north of Toronto and enjoys the outdoors, golf & downhill skiing.

Blake Mitchell

VP of Marketing

As the VP of Marketing, Blake is responsible for planning, overseeing and implementing Stealth’s marketing strategy, branding initiatives, sales operations processes, as well as all internal and external communications.

Prior to joining Stealth, Blake was the Director of Marketing for Telx where he played an instrumental role in organizational growth and lead generation. During his time at Telx, Blake was able to revamp Telx’s entire brand, content marketing and digital marketing strategy, resulting in a significant increase in web traffic and lead generation, which impacted total sales year over year. Telx was eventually acquired by Digital Realty, where Blake maintained his role and led the integration between both businesses from a marketing standpoint. Repeating the process he deployed at Telx, he was able to significantly impact web traffic and lead generation at Digital Realty as well.

Blake also served as the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Operations at vPromos, a cloud-based provider of card-linked loyalty and mobile engagement solutions. As one of the company’s first employees, he wore many hats and played a key role in operations, marketing, digital marketing, product and website development, and account management.

He received a bachelor’s degrees in marketing and corporate finance from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University.
