Position Summary

We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys testing new technology. Our technology product tester will work daily with the newest technology through the testing, evaluation, rollout, and training process.

Ability to conduct thorough analysis and maintain detailed records is a key to this role.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Test and evaluate 3rd party software and hardware solutions
  • Test advanced features of existing product lines
  • Test integrations between different software platforms
  • Investigate and assess new technologies for inclusion in UCIT projects and product portfolio
  • Provide detailed documentation and analysis of test results
  • Assist in creation of full documentation packages for R&D prototype systems and new products
  • Lead technology implementation with department heads to ensure a structured and seamless accomplishment
  • Develop training programs for select new products
  • Run training programs and provide ongoing support for new products throughout the implementation phase
  • Work with technical support and other contacts to report challenges and other feedback
  • Participate in benchmarking and testing competitive products
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience working in a technology role
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
  • BSc in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc will be preferred
  • Ability to self-manage
  • Analytical thinker and critical problem solver
  • Excellent time manager with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to comprehend and adapt quickly to new products and software
  • Able to perform hands on hardware testing when needed
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently

POSITION TITLE: Account/Client Coordinator

POSITION REPORTS TO: Managing Director

A. Position Summary

As our customer service superhero you are the face of UCIT when dealing with the day-to-day needs of our customers. Our unmatched level of customer service has been central to our exceptional growth over the past few years. We are looking to add to our team of customer services professionals. Get ready to put on a hardhat and steel-toed boots and get dirty with the UCIT Online Security team.

B. Key Duties/Responsibilities

Customer Communication

  • Initiate and maintain ongoing communication with key customer contacts to guarantee a high-level of customer service
  • Communicate key findings from monitoring activities
  • Attend relevant industry / client events as needed
  • Build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities and conduct customer mapping of new opportunities for each managed account

Site Preparation, Audits, and Planning

  • Review client contracts, systems and equipment configurations to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met
  • Meet with site managers, reviewing equipment locations and putting forth recommendations for changes as needed
  • Assist with the coordination of site installations and changes
  • Assist with creation and updating of site maps
  • Installation and training clients video management software on clients’ computers

Internal Communication

  • Work with Account Executives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Advise team of potential opportunities to drive new business
  • Assist Account Executives and carry out other related duties as required
  • Ensure CRM system (Salesforce) is up-to-date with relevant information

Ad-Hoc Work

  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

C. Qualifications

1. EDUCATION

Required:

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a business-related field or equivalent experience

2. EXPERIENCE

  • Client facing account management, customer service, or direct sales experience in an entrepreneurial environment is strongly preferred

Position Summary

Providing support to the Finance, Installation & Sales teams, the position mandate is to ensure the timely procurement of products for all jobs, and efficient maintenance of inventory.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Purchasing:

Prepare and execute purchase orders as required to successfully complete installations for all areas of the business
Develop a product directory of all ongoing and past client project orders for referencing purposes (e.g. costs, resource requirements, timelines, etc.)
Assess site and remote office needs and carry out purchase (product) orders when necessary
Maintain productive relationships with vendors to ensure we are getting the best price and service possible
Responsible for monitoring all import/export activities and compliance for the company
Maintain export/import documents related to any intra office shipments
Work with suppliers to determine correct HTS classification and country of origin of all products
Research product information to determine proper HS Tariff Numbers, ensuring all supporting documents are maintained on file
Maintain NAFTA certificates on file and update as required
Identify and resolve any non-compliance issues
Prepare all international customs documentation including but not limited to FCCS forms, Bill of ladings and proforma invoices
Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates internally and externally for inbound and outbound shipments

Inventory Management and Product Maintenance:

Maintain and manage processes involved with inventory tracking and review for the Company
Manage all surveillance equipment and related issues, including but not limited to, repairs, maintenance, and warranty issues
Analysis of monthly inventory trends (e.g. purchasing, damaged inventory, and installations)
Support the installation department to ensure adequate stock on hand
Reconcile invoices and assist with cost of goods sold analysis

 

Capex planning:

Work proactively with CTO and finance team in monthly and weekly inventory meetings in order to determine new products research/change on Capex inventory

 

Netsuite:

Netsuite ERP experience needed. Maintain vendors, update vendor information, create sales orders, and purchase orders
Create database of internal part numbers in compliance to equipment needed by suppliers and departments throughout the company (Fixed, Construction, Rentals, Others)
Work closely with Inventory specialist in order to asses purchasing needs or using current inventory in warehouse
Create interoffice transfer orders within the ERP system
Handle returns and credits within the ERP system

 

Requirements:

Completion of a post-secondary program/degree in business administration, accounting, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, and Access
Excellent data entry skills and attention to details
Ability to resolve practical problems with both internal and external parties
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for the field sales force. Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products.

The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist members of the sales team with the design of CCTV, video analytics, access control, and alarm systems
  • Assist the Director of Technology with introducing new product lines to the sales department
  • Assist in the completion of RFP/RFQ bids
  • Utilize system design tools as needed to design system layouts
  • Review sales quotes and confirm equipment lists are correct
  • Provide pre-sales support to customers and communicate with clients’ technical team as needed
  • Assist in creating and implementing proof on concepts for clients
  • Assist account executives by answering technical questions and making technical presentations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • A post-secondary degree/diploma in business or comparable experience
  • Previous sales experience in a small to mid-size entrepreneurial environment
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience
  • High energy with a “sense of urgency” and a “take charge” attitude
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • A demonstrated ability to operate with grace under pressure
  • Demonstrate sound judgement – an ability to weigh information and decide on the most appropriate course of action

They have an attention to detail to guarantee that all site protocols and health and safety standards are followed and can deal with the growing demand for our products and services.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities

 

Site Preparation/Installations

  • Attend clients’ sites to install, maintain or repair all company systems including video monitoring systems.
  • Check to ensure all systems are online when attending a site, noting any malfunctions and notifying their direct Supervisor and/or Director of Field Operations of all issues.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all work performed on a site and submit reports at the end of the work day as required
  • Work with the Monitoring Centre to ensure the best camera sight lines, cameras are correctly focused and alarms are properly set up on a site
  • Knowledgeable and adheres to all company policies, procedures, protocols and Health and Safety requirements

 

Warehouse Management

  • Perform warehouse duties as assigned, including assisting with camera preparation.

 

Equipment Management/Maintenance

  • Maintain and repair all equipment as needed to guarantee that it is working as required
  • Ensure company vehicles are kept in good working condition and notify their direct Supervisor and/or the Director of Field Operations of any deficiencies.
  • Ensure sufficient equipment is in the vehicle in order to complete assigned daily tasks as well as carry out any other maintenance or repair issues that arise while on a site.
  • Ensure daily vehicle and boom assembly safety checks are performed and recorded.

 

Ad-Hoc Work

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

EDUCATION

Required:

  • Post secondary education in a technology related field with an emphasis on computer/IT skills.

 

EXPERIENCE

Preferred:

  • Previous experience as a Telecoms (such as Bell, Rogers) or camera installer would be a definite asset
  • Completion of a security manufacturers certified training program would be an asset

 

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent physical condition as the job requires lifting of equipment overhead weighing upwards of 50 lbs.
  • No fear of heights in order to operate a bucket truck to conduct installations
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external parties
  • The ability to troubleshoot CCTV analog/IP systems.
  • A valid Ontario driver’s licence, an annual driving record abstract from MTO and a police background check
  • The ability to work independently and to prepare all necessary documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • A good knowledge and adherence to site protocols and Health and Safety policies and practice
  • Self-motivated and committed to continuous learning
