Position Summary

Enhances effectiveness of four Executives by effectively managing calendars, travel arrangements, and assisting with administrative functions.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

Office Management

  • Responsible for the upkeep of the Executives daily schedules in both professional and private circles.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments, reservations and travel arrangements.
  • Perform reception duties by meeting and greeting clients and visitors and managing all phone calls and mail as may be needed from time to time.
  • Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, scanning, mailing, filing, arranging for courier services etc.
  • Coordinate social functions and order/pick up lunches.
  • Prepare coffee for employees and guests and replenish supplies as may be needed from time to time.

Ad-Hoc Work

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A post-secondary degree/diploma in business or comparable experience.
  • Previous administrative experience in a small to mid size entrepreneurial environment.
  • Exposure to travel bookings is a definite asset.

Position Summary

Our Fixed Service & Installation Technicians are our partners in delivering the best possible solution to our customers. They own the work they do and leverage their knowledge of our products and policies to ensure that the job is done right the first time. They have an attention to detail to guarantee that all site protocols and health and safety standards are followed and can deal with the growing demand for our products and services.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

CCTV Installation

  • Installation of various CCTV systems (both Analog & Digital IP Systems), install and program NVR/DVR’s, dress and route cable into closets, control rooms and panels, troubleshoot related systems and products Installation of CCTV (includes Axis, Avigilon, and Pelco)
  • Onsite troubleshooting of CCTV (includes servicing existing systems)
  • Troubleshoots CCTV systems by testing equipment, connections, and signals; identifying and correcting problems
  • Send daily updates of time spent at each project along with deliverables accomplished
  • Direct updates to project manager
  • Maintains safe and secure work environment by following safe practices
  • Keeps customer’s security information confidential

Access Control System

  • Installation of Access Control, Program Access Control Panels and Systems, (includes RBH, Hartman, and Kantech)
  • Onsite troubleshooting of Access Control (includes servicing existing systems)
  • Installation & Service of Mag Locks, electric strikes and low voltage electrical locking hardware

Intercom Systems

  • Installation of Intercom Systems, (includes Mircom)
  • Onsite troubleshooting of Intercom (includes servicing existing systems)
  • Installation & Service of Mag Locks, electric strikes and low voltage electrical locking hardware
  • Send daily updates of time spent at each project along with deliverables accomplished
  • Direct updates to project manager
  • Maintains safe and secure work environment by following safe practices
  • Keeps customer’s security information confidential

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in a technology related field with an emphasis on computer/IT skills
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working as a technician in the physical/electronic security industry on video surveillance systems and Access control Systems either analog or IP
  • A clean criminal background and motor vehicle record
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Able to use MS Office tools and experience using a Windows PC

Core Competencies

  • Excellent physical condition as the job requires lifting of equipment overhead weighing upwards of 50 lbs
  • No fear of heights in order to operate a Lift to conduct installations
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external parties
  • The ability to troubleshoot CCTV analog/IP systems
  • A valid Ontario driver’s licence, an annual driving record abstract from MTO and a police background check
  • The ability to work independently and to prepare all necessary documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • A good knowledge and adherence to site protocols and Health and Safety policies and practices

Position Summary

The Project Manager role is to coordinate and execute all phases of the project management process on installation projects. The Project Manager will regularly interface with corporate resources, clients and subcontractors. They will be responsible for all communication related to scheduling, coordination and utilization of those resources throughout the entire project. The Project Manager also has P&L responsibility for each project they manage.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Define and implement project plans in accordance with the contract terms, client’s needs, and UCIT’s offerings from prospect development through project planning, execution and closeout. Provide hands-on project management and actively supervise the project plan, deliverables, dependencies and outcome of assigned projects to ensure projects are on-schedule and on-budget.
  • Plan and manage multiple projects on-time and on-budget
  • Resource coordination and supervision duties will include assembling and organizing project resources to meet project requirements, as defined by the project scope. Manage the project team against the project plan.
  • Manage project partnerships with senior management, clients, contractors and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Define and mitigate overall project risk through conflict and issue resolution with the project team and stakeholders.
  • Internal and External Reporting: Keep internal stakeholders informed of project status and deliverables, as well as risk and mitigation strategies. With the Account Executive, ensure the client is informed of project status
  • Project Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed both client and internal expectations by implementing quality assurance reviews appropriate to project size and scope.

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist Account Executives with system design and product selection
  • Read and create basic level engineered drawings and as-built project packages
  • Provide basic technical support as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • BA or diploma/degree in Engineering or related fields
  • Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) designation is a must

Experience

  • 5 years of project management experience
  • Experience in planning and managing $1-3 million budget projects within the technology service industry

  • Excellent knowledge of the principles and practices of project management and demonstrated ability in monitoring, reviewing and reporting on projects
  • Ability provide detailed and accurate cost analysis for various projects

Position Summary

UCIT is growing rapidly, and our Fixed Service Coordinator must be extremely detail-oriented and well organized to deal with the many moving parts at our exciting company. They are tasked with managing the day-to-day scheduling and monitoring of our service team while simultaneously enforcing best practice procedures and protocols.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities

Service/People Management

  • Keep abreast of the company’s installation and service commitments to schedule appropriate technicians to conduct work based on their respective levels of expertise
  • Ensure that critical technical issues in the field are tracked and escalated in the correct manner to efficiently resolve them
  • Evaluate and update the Executive Director – Field Operations with appropriate reports weekly or when needed/requested
  • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction
  • Participate in technical training to enhance knowledge base to efficiently solve any site issues that arise
  • Ensure that technicians prepare and submit field service documentation in a complete, accurate and timely manner
  • Participate in, and ensure strict adherence to all company policies, procedures and protocols and Health and Safety requirements

Ad-Hoc Work

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in a technology related field with an emphasis on computer/IT skills
  • Previous project/service coordination experience in a security based environment
  • Completion of a security manufacturer’s certified training program would be an asset
