Position Summary

We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys testing new technology. Our technology product tester will work daily with the newest technology through the testing, evaluation, rollout, and training process.

Ability to conduct thorough analysis and maintain detailed records is a key to this role.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Test and evaluate 3rd party software and hardware solutions
  • Test advanced features of existing product lines
  • Test integrations between different software platforms
  • Investigate and assess new technologies for inclusion in UCIT projects and product portfolio
  • Provide detailed documentation and analysis of test results
  • Assist in creation of full documentation packages for R&D prototype systems and new products
  • Lead technology implementation with department heads to ensure a structured and seamless accomplishment
  • Develop training programs for select new products
  • Run training programs and provide ongoing support for new products throughout the implementation phase
  • Work with technical support and other contacts to report challenges and other feedback
  • Participate in benchmarking and testing competitive products
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience working in a technology role
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
  • BSc in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc will be preferred
  • Ability to self-manage
  • Analytical thinker and critical problem solver
  • Excellent time manager with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to comprehend and adapt quickly to new products and software
  • Able to perform hands on hardware testing when needed
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to setup tests and run experiments quickly

POSITION TITLE: Account/Client Coordinator

POSITION REPORTS TO: Managing Director

A. Position Summary

As our customer service superhero you are the face of UCIT when dealing with the day-to-day needs of our customers. Our unmatched level of customer service has been central to our exceptional growth over the past few years. We are looking to add to our team of customer services professionals. Get ready to put on a hardhat and steel-toed boots and get dirty with the UCIT Online Security team.

B. Key Duties/Responsibilities

Customer Communication

  • Initiate and maintain ongoing communication with key customer contacts to guarantee a high-level of customer service
  • Communicate key findings from monitoring activities
  • Attend relevant industry / client events as needed
  • Build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities and conduct customer mapping of new opportunities for each managed account

Site Preparation, Audits, and Planning

  • Review client contracts, systems and equipment configurations to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met
  • Meet with site managers, reviewing equipment locations and putting forth recommendations for changes as needed
  • Assist with the coordination of site installations and changes
  • Assist with creation and updating of site maps
  • Installation and training clients video management software on clients’ computers

Internal Communication

  • Work with Account Executives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Advise team of potential opportunities to drive new business
  • Assist Account Executives and carry out other related duties as required
  • Ensure CRM system (Salesforce) is up-to-date with relevant information

Ad-Hoc Work

  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time

C. Qualifications

1. EDUCATION

Required:

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a business-related field or equivalent experience

2. EXPERIENCE

  • Client facing account management, customer service, or direct sales experience in an entrepreneurial environment is strongly preferred

3. CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and committed to continuous learning and development
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize, and solve problems in a timely manner
  • Team oriented to ensure client issues are explored and addressed in a professional manner within the company
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a broad range of internal and external parties

  • Significant daytime travel is required
